National Teachers' Month - My Teacher, My Hero
Our earliest memory of victory and success started with our teachers stamping our hands with a star and a very good mark whenever we do something good in school. It may be successfully coloring an apple, reading a verse on our textbook or writing our name 10 times - our teacher will surely award us with a stamp on our hand.
The Philippine Postal Corporation will issue a pair of se-tenant stamps to celebrate the 11th year of National Teachers’ Month from September 5 to October 5, 2019. The designs of the se-tenant pair depict the logo of “My Teacher, My Hero”, “Excellent!”, and “Thank you, teacher!” stamped on the outreached hand of a teacher. This stamp design features the hand of a teacher with a “stamp of excellence” for being our heroes and helping us reach our dreams. It’s our simple way of recognizing all the hard work and sacrifice of our Filipino teachers.
This year’s theme is “I Teach, That’s My Superpower”. The Metrobank Foundation, Inc., and the Department of Education are working in partnership with other organizations to uphold the initiative of giving back due recognition for teachers as humble heroes shaping the minds of the nation.
